The Small Business Advice service, offered in County Tipperary by Clonmel Chamber, assisted twenty five local businesses in the last three months. The free mentoring service provides advice to companies through a network of qualified mentors. The Small Business Advice service was established in 2010 and is funded by Bord Gais.
“We are very pleased to see that companies are availing of the service. Anything that we can do to help businesses to stay in business is a worthwhile endeavour” said Brian Cleary, CEO of Clonmel Chamber.
County Tipperary businesses are the fourth most frequent users of the service. Local companies have received mentoring in a range of areas including entering new territories, business development, marketing and finance.
The service is completely confidential and once an initial contact is made with Clonmel Chamber companies are referred to an independent project manager based in Cork. “Confidentiality is critical and we guarantee that to all businesses or sole traders contacting us about the Small Business Advice service” added Cleary.
