Clonmel: Consumer Perceptions & Spending Patterns: 2011
Hotel Minella
May 25th
6.15pm

Clonmel Chamber recently published a comprehensive research report outlining consumer spending habits and perceptions of the town. The report was researched and written by specialists at the Rikon Academic Research Unit at Waterford Institute of Technology.

The publication of the Clonmel: Consumer Perceptions & Spending Pattern 2011 report clearly demonstrates the popularity of the town as a shopping destination.  The report also clearly shows that Clonmel consistently attracts shoppers from outside the area, particularly in grocery and fashion.

Researchers carried out interviews throughout Clonmel and online, seeking the opinions of over 240 people. These interviews showed that the town has a number of strengths. It also identified areas for improvement.

The report also showed that there was room for improvement on parking availability within the town centre, an issue that has been raised by Clonmel Chamber for many years.

Clonmel Chamber will be hosting a free event for the business community and elected representatives to analyse the report and discuss what steps can be taken to ensure that the town continues to be an attractive location for consumers. This will be held on May 25th at Hotel Minella at 6.15pm.

The event will be facilitated by Dr. Pat Lynch from WIT, the author of the report.

If you would like to attend this important free event please contact Clonmel Chamber on 052 61 26500 to book a place/places.
