Chamber To Publish Study On Spending Habit

Clonmel Chamber will publish one of the most comprehensive analyses of consumer attitudes and spending patterns in the town next week.
The document researched and written by Rikon Academic Research Unit will highlight the consumer perceptions on a number of issues such as shopping, entertainment, disposable income and the opinions regarding stores in the town. Research for this report was carried out late last year with over 200 face to face and online interviews carried out.
Speaking ahead of the publication of the report, Clonmel Chamber President Tina Mulhearne said “this report has taken a considerable amount of time to prepare and publish. Nevertheless the work undertaken by Rikon shows that there are many positives aspects in Clonmel and a number of areas that need improvement”.
Following the launch of the report copies will be distributed to Chamber members and public representatives. It will also be used by property specialists as part of their efforts to attract new businesses to Clonmel.
As part of the Chamber's events calendar there will also be a presentation about this report and a discussion on areas that need to be addressed. This will be held on Wednesday, May 25th. Further information about this event will be available soon.
