Clonmel Chamber Listed In Top 72 in World Chamber Competition
Clonmel Chamber is one of only seventy two Chambers worldwide to be shortlisted for the World Chamber Awards. The awards are open to Chambers throughout the world and seek to identify innovative business organisations around the world.
The Clonmel Chamber submission for the awards was based on the enterprise competition, the winner of which will be unveiled on April 12th at the Chamber AGM in the Main Guard.
“We are delighted to be in contention for such a prestigious award. No Irish Chamber has ever won one of these awards. Regardless of what happens we believe that this is a huge vindication of the work done by the members and the selfless donation of time, services and products by the contributing companies to the enterprise competition” said Chamber President Tina Mulhearne.
Three Chambers in each of the four categories will be invited to present their projects to a general assembly at the World Chambers Conference in Mexico in June.
“Getting to pitch our project in Mexico would be a great honour, nevertheless being in the final seventy two in the awards is an amazing achievement, particularly when we are in competition with Chambers representing countries such as the US and Russian Chambers” added the President.
The World Chamber Awards are biennial and are open to local, regional, national and transnational Chambers. Clonmel Chamber is the only Irish group in contention.
