Clonmel Chamber will host an evening seminar aimed at highlighting opportunities in one of the world's leading growth economies.
“Doing Business In Brazil” at Hotel Minella on January 11th 2011 at 6pm is a two hour seminar aimed at pointing Irish companies in the right direction.
The Brazilian economy is projected to be the fifth largest in the world by 2016. The government is investing heavily to modernise. A report issued in December 2010 estimates that the country will have to spend an average of €113 billion each year between now and 2022 to meet the housing demands of a growing population. Furthermore Brazil will play host to the FIFA World Cup in 2014 and the Olympic Games in 2016. Both projects have necessitated enormous infrastructural development to meet international standards.
“When people think of Brazil they generally think of the Copacabana or the successful football team. What they may not realise that this is 'one to watch' said Chamber President Tina Mulhearne. “We believe that this economy provides huge opportunities for Irish companies in construction, engineering, energy, medical products and many others” she added.
The seminar is open to companies and individuals from throughout Ireland. Pre-booking through the Clonmel Chamber website (www.clonmelchamber.com) is essential.
Representatives from the Brazilian embassy will be present at the event to discuss opportunities and they will be available for initial discussions with attendees.
