Clonmel Chamber Opposes Downgrading of Hospital
Clonmel Chamber of Commerce is categorically opposed to the downgrading of services at South Tipperary General Hospital according to Chamber President Tina Mulhearne.
“The hospital and the services offered are an essential element of the infrastructure of Clonmel”, downgrading would put the town at a disadvantage when seeking to attract new business she said.
From a medical and patient core perspective South Tipperary General Hospital is highly regarded and we at the Chamber see no rational reasoning behind the move to down grade the facility. “The Chamber will be seeking assurances from elected representatives and the HSE on the future of South Tipperary General Hospital.
