Clonmel Chamber is the largest business organisation in South Tipperary. We are actively involved in creating and maintaining a positive business environment in the area – one that enables organisations to develop more opportunities, generate additional revenue and create further employment locally.
Since 1925 we have worked on behalf of members to create a dynamic business environment. Today, whilst our mission remains the same, the range of services that we can offer to businesses has vastly increased.
People Do Business With People They Know
Clonmel has one of the very few Chambers in Ireland that offers free networking events to members all year round. Each month we offer our members the ability to promote their business and to explore new opportunities with attendees. We believe that 'people do business with people they know' and the free monthly networking events offer our members the chance to speak directly with decision makers in local companies. We also host a guest speaker each month. The speakers present on topics relevant to business today. Issues covered recently include business development, marketing, finance and innovation.

Knowledge is Power
We host regular expert briefings to keep our members up to date with the latest business trends and legislation. We invite local and national experts to present to our members at these quarterly events. They are excellent opportunities for members to keep abreast with developments in a constantly changing business landscape. In the coming year we will be hosting briefings on the following topics: Retail, Human Resources, Manufacturing and Technology.

Exploring New Markets
Clonmel Chamber works constantly to research new opportunities for member companies. We have hosted delegations from a number of countries who have presented to our members. As a result of briefings held to date many Clonmel Chamber members are now exporting to or importing from these countries. Others have successfully tendered for contracts. By providing access to experts from these countries local businesses have been able to enter new markets and develop their businesses. In the coming year we will host three seminars focusing on opportunities in South America, Mainland Europe and Asia.

The Leading Business Event In The Region
For many years the Clonmel Chamber Conference has been a 'must attend' event. Previous conferences have been covered by national television, radio and newspapers. Each year we present a diverse panel of speakers to inform, educate and entertain our delegates. The conference is also the largest networking event in Co. Tipperary each year and it offers our members the chance to meet and develop business relationships with business leaders and decision makers from around the country.

This is one of the most visited local websites, constantly updated with news, photographs, and information. Each member receives a free detailed listing on the website. We are also introducing a new section with a dedicated page for each member. This can be used to highlight your business or a special promotion. Each member page can be updated by a member by using their individual login and password. Clonmel Chamber is the first Chamber in Ireland to offer this free service to members.
Diary
Our diary is distributed to decision makers in the public and private sectors annually. Members are listed alphabetically and by sector. We believe that this is the most widely used diary in South Tipperary with several hundred copies distributed annually.
E-Newsletter
We send our e-newsletter to over 500 businesses in South Tipperary and surrounding counties each week. It details events and information relevant to the business community. We also offer our members the opportunity to promote their business free of charge in the newsletter. This is an excellent means of promoting your business to a large targeted audience. This is a free service exclusively available to members.
Small Business Advice
In the current economic climate honest and impartial advice is essential for any business. Clonmel Chamber has partnered with smallbusinessadvice.ie to offer free confidential mentoring and support to local businesses. The trained mentors are all experienced business people. They are available to meet with member businesses to listen and to offer advice on how best to face current challenges. This is a free service.
Member to Member Business
In the coming year Clonmel Chamber will be launching a member to member business network. This will allow businesses to offer unique discounts on goods and services to other members of the Chamber. Initiatives such as this will play a part in ensuring that money spent in the local economy stays in the local economy. This initiative will be free to join and participation will be limited strictly to members of Clonmel Chamber.
Representation
As the largest business representative organisation in South Tipperary, Clonmel Chamber plays a significant role in local business life. We lobby constantly on behalf of our members to maintain a pro business environment. We are in constant contact with local authorities and government departments on issues of importance to our members. Members of Clonmel Chamber can have their opinions heard by playing an active role in the organisation.
